I started out as a human geographer, with a masters degree from the University of Oslo, then studied pedagogy and became certified as a teacher. Later in life I went back to university to study history and the Norwegian language, first as a first language and then as a second language at the University of Bergen. In Brussels I have been lucky to find students interested in learning about Norwegian culture and language. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge about everything Norwegian and Scandinavian. I create material tailored to my students, search for the perfect podcast to recommend, use visual techniques and listen to your needs during your learning process. I'm fluent in English and have basic proficiency in Spanish. My French is quite terrible, so let's not go there.
I'm born and raised in Trondheim, but have also lived on the western coast and in the Oslo area. I'm married to a man from Innlandet, and in the context of teaching Norwegian, having experienced the different cultures and dialects is helpful. I'm an outdoorsy person with tips to share for an active vacation, if that's your motivation.
